Ransomware Knocks Out Airport's Email Systems, Info Screen
TRANSPORT INDUSTRY

The Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in the US suffered a ransomware attack that shut down the airport's flight information display systems and email servers. The incident did not affect flight operation as flight information can still be accessed from the airport's website. Airport authorities believed that no personal information was taken out of the affected systems during the incident as there was no indication of unauthorised intrusion. There was also no ransom demand. The airport subsequently took nearly a week to restore affected systems from backups.
