Former Employee Charged for Unauthorised Access to Government Databases

A former government employee was charged for unauthorised intrusion into a US Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's database to obtain sensitive information for his current work at a transport safety company. The accused had used a valid credential, which he possessed during his former employment, to retrieve commercial driver licenses. The information is then used for his consultancy services allowing his company to gain commercial advantage and financial gains.
